OUR STORY BEGINS IN 1998.
In the heart of the diverse and unpretentious Ruhr region, specifically in Mülheim an der Ruhr. An area with an industrial past and a green vision. Few people here shy away from hard work and genuine friendship. Open-minded, open, and authentic: that's how many people see the Ruhr region and its inhabitants.
We see Mazine As a tribute to our roots, to color and diversity. Through sustainable, high-quality designs with strong technical details, we remain true to our heritage and, therefore, to our attitude. Responsibility merges with functionality, and sustainability with urban style.
We don't design clothes for select target groups. MAZINE is meant to unite.
OUR FUTURE IS SUSTAINABLE
We design all our products with a deep connection to nature. It's not just a source of inspiration, but also a happy place, a workplace, and so much more. We don't see sustainability as just a trend; we consciously focus on sustainable, durable, and regenerative materials instead of mass-produced, inexpensive products. We see ourselves as part of the change in the fashion industry and work with our entire team every day to be even better. We're tired of empty promises, which is why maximum transparency is especially important to us. As a brand, we have met the strict ecological and social requirements of GOTS and GRS certifications, we are PETA-approved vegan, and we are already working with our suppliers and producers toward SA8000 certification. Therefore, our collections are vegan, made largely from organically produced natural fibers, and free of toxic chemicals. Why is this so important to us?
We want to keep our impact on the environment as small as possible and develop clothing that brings joy to us and to nature.
WE MAKE FASHION FROM TRASH.
We believe there is great potential to tackle the planet's waste by giving new life to old clothes, plastic bottles, and other refuse. By doing so, we turn waste into clothes, not clothes into waste. Much of our collection is already made from recycled polyester fibers. Because we know that a lot of greenwashing is also happening here, and we want to work to the highest industry standards for our products, we are currently in discussions with our suppliers and production facilities to obtain GRS certification for all of our polyester fabrics as quickly as possible. Of course, that doesn't mean our ultimate goal is to stop wasting waste altogether.
Because everything comes in circles!
Also on the agenda for 2023 is the SA8000 certification of our production facility in China, where we produce the majority of our outerwear. We are especially proud to have maintained a friendly and close relationship with our producers for years, and we not only want to collect certifications, but also give the people who work at Mazine the opportunity to be part of a more sustainable future.
Because there is only one future and it must be sustainable!
